What's Tina: The Tina Turner Musical about?

Tina Turner, the star who has sold 200 million albums worldwide, deserves a musical dedicated to her. It's done with a British production company, Stage Entertainment (the production company behind the The Lion King, Mamma Mia! and Grease in Europe, and Singin' in the Rain in London).

The show is a biography of the singer: from her debut with Ike Turner to today, including her solo rise in the 80s. The Tina Turner Musical is an opportunity to rediscover the hits that made Tina Turner the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll on stage!

Why should you see Tina: The Tina Turner Musical?

Tina: The Tina Turner Musical is certainly one of London's most dazzling musicals. The show, which is directed by Phyllida Lloyd, the director of the Mamma Mia! musical, premiered in London in 2018. Due to the public's enthusiasm, productions have opened in New York and Hamburg in 2019 and in Utrecht in the Netherlands in 2020.

The critics were also charmed by the show and awarded it an Olivier Award and a Tony Award.

The singer followed the creation of the show very closely, which isn't surprising when you consider that she holds the record for the solo artist who has sold the most concert tickets in the world. She loves the stage more than anything.
