What's Tina: The Tina Turner Musical about?

Tina Turner, the star who has sold 200 million albums worldwide, deserves a musical dedicated to her. It's done with a British production company, Stage Entertainment (the production company behind the The Lion King, Mamma Mia! and Grease in Europe, and Singin' in the Rain in London).

The show is a biography of the singer: from her debut with Ike Turner to today, including her solo rise in the 80s. The Tina Turner Musical is an opportunity to rediscover the hits that made Tina Turner the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll on stage!

Why should you see Tina: The Tina Turner Musical?

Tina: The Tina Turner Musical is certainly one of London's most dazzling musicals. The show, which is directed by Phyllida Lloyd, the director of the Mamma Mia! musical, premiered in London in 2018. Due to the public's enthusiasm, productions have opened in New York and Hamburg in 2019 and in Utrecht in the Netherlands in 2020.

The critics were also charmed by the show and awarded it an Olivier Award and a Tony Award.

The singer followed the creation of the show very closely, which isn't surprising when you consider that she holds the record for the solo artist who has sold the most concert tickets in the world. She loves the stage more than anything.

Words cannot fully capture the sheer brilliance of the musical show I had the privilege to witness. It was nothing short of spectacular and easily ranks as one of the best theatrical experiences I've ever encountered. From the moment the curtains rose, I was transported into a world of pure magic and artistry.

The cast's performances were nothing short of extraordinary. Each actor exuded an unmatched level of passion and dedication, bringing their characters to life with a depth and authenticity that left me in awe. The vocal prowess displayed on stage was breathtaking, with every note hitting its mark flawlessly, I almost believed that Tina was alive and singing to me.

It was a very good journey through Tina's life! Such a rollercoaster of emotions! A lot of dancing and singing and so much interaction with the crowd at the end of the musical. The theatre is quite dynamic and the role-play goes very quick but such a good experience. Really recommend to see this show

An incredible show, extraordinary artists and a breathtakingly talented Tina. So good that we had tears in our eyes, I saw the film on television, but the musical is so much better. A must see, I have already recommended it on social media. In addition, the theatre size was perfect.

A breath taking, magical, wonderful show. Hats off to the singer who plays Tina Turner. I strongly recommend this musical for Tina Turner fans like me. Thank you to the cast. I definitely want to see this musical again. I would like to meet Tina Turner. This musical reminded me of a Tina concert I went to in 1990. Thank you again!

This show is really awesome! My 17 year old son, who didn't know much about Tina Turner and who isn't really a fan of musicals, loved it too! The actors are great: singing, dancing, acting, everything was perfect. Nevertheless, we were a little frustrated to have to wait until the very end of the show to be able to sing and clap our hands, but that's understandable as if we all did it during the show, it would be ruined by the noise... Excellent experience and happy to have shared it with my teenager :)

The show it selg was fantastic, I would rate the sound and performance of the players 5 stars. The venue however, was a bit disappointing. The distance between the seats to short, seats to low, and if you are unfortunate to get a tall person in the seat in front of you, you will hardly see anything at all, which happened to me.

A magnificent show. The vocals were superb and the choreography very good. Tina's life is interesting and her practice of Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism, often mentioned in the show, has given her energy and transformed the challenges she's faced in her life. What a beautiful lesson of hope! The cast had the same energy and joy as Tina

Thoroughly enjoyed the showmanship, the singing and especially the songs. A great theatre production, this performance was great. Felt like the real Tina was on stage. A story for all to reflect and remember that we must stop any forms of abuse and racism. Simply Amazing, Simply Tina, Simply The Best.
