What's Avenue Q about?

A parody of the American TV show Sesame Street, Avenue Q is a musical which combines real actors and puppets. Unlike its source material, the show tackles adult themes like racism, homosexuality and internet porn... for parody purposes which are often moving and always very funny!

Set in New York, we follow Princeton, a young, naive graduate starting out in adult life. Short on cash, he moves into a rundown neighbourhood on Avenue Q and meets his colourful neighbours. The group try to navigate money, work and romantic problems, discovering that real life isn't as easy as it looks on television.
