What's The Time Traveller's Wife about?

How can love survive when the couple is separated by time? The musical The Time Traveller's Wife is adapted from the novel and film of the same name. The libretto is by Lauren Gunderson, the music and lyrics are by Joss Stone and Dave Stewart.

Henry and Clare are a couple brought together by Henry's fantastical illness. While Clare is a famous sculptor, Henry suffers from an illness which tears him away from the present and casts him into the past and future at unexpected moments.

The couple meet, fall in love and get married. But as time passes, they're separated by Henry's extraordinary illness. The young man always tries to come back to the present while Clare waits for his return. Their love story seems unlikely or even impossible.

The Time Traveller's Wife is an unmissable show that skilfully deals with love and its fleeting pleasures.
