What's Six about?

The musical Six returns to the Vaudeville Theatre after a sold-out performance at the Lyric Theatre.

In this historic musical, the six wives of the English king Henry VIII (1491–1547) take it in turns to tell their story. The show, which begins as a pop-rock concert by a group of six divas - Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Catherine Parr - will turn into a vocal battle to be group leader.

Why are Henry VIII and his queens so famous? Henry VIII divorced two of them and beheaded two others. And he separated England from the Catholic Church so he could marry his second wife, Anne Boleyn. So yes, it all makes for a good story!

Why should you see Six?

Six the Musical was written by Toby Marlow (book and lyrics) and Lucy Moss (music) for... their final exams at Cambridge University! Clearly there's no age limits on talent.

The show was performed for the first time in 2017 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It was so successful that it was performed again at the same festival the following year and then transferred to London. With current themes such as feminism or queer culture, the musical Six is known for bringing younger generations back to the theatre.

Six the Musical was called "the most breath taking musical of the year" by The Evening Standard in 2019. For The Australian, "Six redefines the codes of the genre". Six was nominated in five categories at the Olivier Awards in 2019 and won two Tony Awards in 2022. Two parallel productions of the musical opened in New York and Australia in 2020.

Absolutely unreal show, loved every minute the girls were fantastic, they absolutely owned the stage and we've already booked to go again. There was a few women shouting abuse during the performance but the girls didn't let it bother them continued on with thw show and embraced the whole thing. Highly recommend if your looking for a fun loving show

Every venue has been renovated recently with evey seat giving you a good view of the stage. However, the further you are from the stage, the further you are from the magic.
