Why should you see Guys and Dolls?

The original production of this musical premiered in 1950 in New York where it was performed almost 1200 times. Following its success, Guys and Dolls was adapted into a 1955 film starring Marlon Brando, Jean Simmons, Frank Sinatra, and Vivian Blaine. The film was the biggest hit at the American box office that year.

Guys and Dolls is a Frank Loesser musical (music and lyrics). The libretto is by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, based on three short stories by Damon Runyon, a novelist famous for his tales of New York's underbelly.

The show has had several revivals since then (three in New York and four in London) and, across all the productions, has won eight Tony Awards and seven Olivier Awards. Since its inception, Guys and Dolls has established itself as an excellent musical.

Guys and Dolls is a classic in the genre and you'll be charmed by it. Book your tickets fast to (re)discover the hits Luck Be a Lady, Sit Down You Are Rocking the Boat, Adelaide’s Lament and Guys & Dolls. You'll visit the streets of Manhattan, the bars of Havana and even the sewers of New York!

First music hall / broadway show experience for me.
Really enjoyed the show and scenario. It took me 5 to 10 minutes to be really into the show but once you’re in you don’t see the almost 3 hours of show.

It set a very accurate picture of the US society in the 50’s.
Very nice mise en scène and chorégraphie.
Also impressive costumes.
👍 I recommend this show

Every venue has been renovated recently with evey seat giving you a good view of the stage. However, the further you are from the stage, the further you are from the magic.
