What's Dirty Dancing about?

The musical Dirty Dancing, adapted from the cult 1984 film starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, is finally back in London!

Dirty Dancing tells the love story between Baby Frances Houseman and her dance teacher Johnny Castle during a stay in the Catskill Mountains region near New York City. The hit The Time of My Life, from the film's soundtrack, won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a Grammy Award.

Why should you see Dirty Dancing?

The musical Dirty Dancing was created in 2004 in Australia based on the 1984 film of the same name. Eleanor Bergstein, the screenwriter of the original film, wrote the libretto.

Well received by the public, the show had two simultaneous productions in 2006 in the United States and in England. It played for five years in London before embarking on a two-year UK tour. The musical still holds the record for pre-sales with six months' worth of tickets sold before the show even raised its curtain.

After a sold-out run in 2021, the musical Dirty Dancing is back in London for a limited time! Don't miss this unique opportunity to discover the stage version of one of the most romantic films of all time.

You'll have chills as you hear hits like Hungry Eyes, Do You Love Me?, Love Man, Hey Baby, In the Still of the Night and of course (I've Had) The Time of My Life live.

Seen by millions around the world, Dirty Dancing is an explosive musical and a real emotional roller coaster!

This musical was absolutely incredible. All the dances were perfect and the dancers great. The sets were well chosen, and everything was absolutely perfect. I've seen quite a few musicals and this one is in the top five. What more can I say? I liked everything.
